The Living Word, Jesus Christ, The Logos, the written Word; John 1:1-4.

A container for a substance that will burn, usually oil, to give light; Ex 25:6. Oil, the Holy Spirit; Acts 10:38. Gives enough light to shine on our feet and to light our path; John 5:35.

Gives us the ability and stability to walk. Reveals what is hidden in the darkness; 2 Sam 22:29.

Genesis 1:3 “Light be” is natural light but this light is in us, given by God’s word. Ability to shine. Affects our life and lifestyle, who we are and how we live; Prov 20:27.

The way on which we walk. The where of our going. The Lamp, God’s Word shines on our feet and shows our path of life and living. Reveals what is on our pathway; Job 29:23.



But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:7


The Lord is my light and my salvation. Psalms 27:1.

It is in Him that we have life and light: John 1:4.

Our light comes from God who is within us, and we live and walk as children of light: Eph. 5:8.

Lights our conscience. Proverbs 20:27. Live as examples of light. Matt 5:14-15. Our lights rejoice. Prov 13:9.

Walk in and believe in the light. John 12:35-36.





Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Matt 7:7


Will God also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Genesis 18:23-32.

Who am I, O lord God? And what is my house? 2 Samuel 7:16-29.

And Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the people. 1 Kings 8:22-61.

Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His to heaven, and said… John 17:1-26



In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.

1 Kings 3:5.


God will pour out rain in the time of the latter rain. Zech 10:1.

Asking in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matt 21:21-22.

That I will do, that the Father may be glorified. John 14:13.

Ask, and you will receive. John 16:24.

Open wide and God will fill. Psalms 81:10.






This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all  his troubles.

Psalms 34:6.

This poor man … not in the sense of material wealth, but rather in the assessment of the inner person; the sense of being afflicted, crushed, forsaken, desolate. Being destitute of value and self-worth.


God will hear your voice. Psalms 55:17

My cry came before Him. Psalms 18:6.

He will not despise our prayer. Psalms 102:17.

Our prayers will be accepted on His altar. Isaiah 56:7.

Makes all grace abound toward you. 2 Cor. 9:8



Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.     

Ephesians 3:20


Is anything too hard for the Lord? Genesis 18:14.

With God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37.

God made the heaven and the earth. Jeremiah 32:17.

There is no restraint to the Lord. 1 Sam 14:6.

God’s power is to be personable. Job 42:2.



The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.   

I Kings 17:16.

The widow of Zarephath gave all that she had to feed the prophet Elijah, with that God gave back to her an endless supply of flour and oil in the midst of a severe drought.


Fill the waterpots with water. John 2:7-11.

Jesus said, …all things are possible. Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27.

Is God’s hand shortened?     See God’s word come to pass. Num 11:23.

Is God’s hand shortened? Can God redeem? Isaiah 50:2.

Our answer, His hand is not shortened nor His ear heavy. Isaiah 59:1

We need to be fully persuaded in what God says. Romans 4:21







He is able to deliver us. Daniel 3:17-18; Hebrews 11:33-34.
